Data Deletion

Overview
At Talevio, we believe you should have full control over your data. You can request deletion of your personal data or your child's data at any time. We provide two methods for data deletion: through the app itself and via email.
When you request data deletion, we permanently remove all associated personal information from our active systems. This process is irreversible — once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
Delete Data In-App
The quickest way to delete data is directly through the Talevio app:
Delete a Child's Account and Data
- Open the Talevio app and log in to your parent account
- Navigate to Settings from the parent dashboard
- Select Manage Children
- Tap on the child's profile you wish to delete
- Scroll down and tap Delete Child Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
This will permanently delete the child's profile, all their drawings, characters, and any stories associated with that child.
Delete Your Entire Parent Account
- Open the Talevio app and log in to your parent account
- Navigate to Settings
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete My Account
- Review the summary of data that will be deleted
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Deleting your parent account will also delete all child accounts, drawings, characters, stories, purchase history, and any other data associated with your account. Any remaining credits will be forfeited.
Request via Email
If you are unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, you can send a request to our privacy team:

- Subject line: Data Deletion Request
Please include the following information in your email:
- The email address associated with your parent account
- Whether you want to delete a specific child's data or your entire account
- If deleting a specific child's data, the child's username or name
We will verify your identity by sending a confirmation to the email address on file before processing the deletion. This is to prevent unauthorized deletion requests.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, the following information is permanently removed:
For a Child Account Deletion
- Child's profile information (name, username, date of birth, personality description)
- All drawings and character data (stroke data and rendered images)
- All stories generated for that child (including scene images, audio, and video files)
- Any stored preferences or settings for that child
For a Parent Account Deletion
- All data listed above for every child account under the parent
- Parent's email address and account information
- Purchase history and credit balance
- Device registration information
- Notification preferences and history
- All authentication tokens and session data
Processing Time
Data deletion requests are processed within 30 calendar days of confirmation. During this period:
- Your account will be immediately deactivated and inaccessible
- Your data will be queued for permanent deletion from our active systems
- Backups containing your data will be purged within the 30-day window
- You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete
In-app deletions are typically processed faster, often within 24-48 hours for active system data, with backup purging completed within the full 30-day window.
Data That May Be Retained
After deletion, the following types of data may be retained in limited, anonymized form:
- Anonymized aggregate analytics — such as total number of stories generated, general usage patterns, and crash reports. This data cannot be used to identify any individual user.
- Transaction records — we may be required by law to retain certain financial transaction records for tax and accounting purposes. These records are kept in a secure, restricted system and are not used for any other purpose.
- Legal obligations — if we are required by law, regulation, or legal process to retain certain information, we will do so for the minimum period required.
None of the retained data contains personal information that could identify you or your child.
